Legends Pardell Native American Indian Pottery Potter Bronze Art Sculpture LE

Description: A beautifully detailed vintage 1990 limited edition mixed metal media sculpture entitled "Indian Potter by Legends & sculptor Christopher Pardell. This sculpture depicts an old Native American Indian woman with long hair in two braids, wearing leather hide clothing decorated with fringe, sitting down cross legged & barefooted with a clay like pot in her hands as she adds the finishing touches, mounted on a wood base. *The wood base has some areas that have scratches & scuffs, please see all pics.* The sculpture measures approx. 4" tall and 5 1/8" diameter with wood base and weighs over 1 1/2lbs. The sculpture is signed on the back "C A Pardell" and stamped 413/1500 see pics. The bottom has a Legends seal that reads "Certified Limited Edition Legends Mixed Media Indian Potter 1990" see pics. This lovely collectible would display great in your home office desk, fireplace mantel, man cave, cabin, or make a nice gift. This is a quality keepsake that will last a lifetime and can be handed down from generation to generation. About the Artist: Christopher Pardell (20th century) was active/lived in United States. Christopher Pardell is known for Indians and cowboys on horses sculpture. Christopher Pardell began sculpting at the age of four, and by his teenage years, he had come to the realization that sculpting was to become his life's work. Influenced by the work of sculptors Russell, Remington and Rodin, Pardell wanted to pursue his passion for realism. His formal education was laid aside in favor of an apprentice moldmaker position with a commercial statuary company, and it was there that he received what he considers to be his "real education in art." As an apprentice to the Italian master artisans who ran the statuary, Christopher rapidly learned the skills that would enable him to become a skilled sculptor. Never sketching his designs on paper, Christopher composes all of his work in three dimensions, in a maquette. Here is some info about Legends mixed media process:Mixed media is a combination of various fine metals such as lost wax bronze, fine pewter, brass, copper, 24 karat gold vermeil and various hot torched acid patinas such as black nickel, rose copper, and turquoise, to highlight the sculpture. In addition, the sculpture may contain embellishments such as Lucite. I acquire my items from local auctions, estate sales etc...
