Description: This auction is for aLegends Brass BEASTtrumpet mouthpiece. DescriptionThis is an extremely shallow, low cup-volume mouthpiece. The rim is wide, soft, and very round for maximum comfort. It has a high alpha angle for a more gentle slope into the V bowl cup. The rim and cup of the Beast have been described by customers as being similar to the feel of some of the smaller Marcinkiewicz pieces, like the Candoli. It is not a copy of the Candoli, however. The Beast has the Legends enhanced throat (#27), throat cylinder length, and Legends S backbore; all design elements which maximize endurance, range and sound for the player. Slotting is excellent. The Beast is best for screaming lead and soaring upper register. The lightweight blank adds extra sizzle for more of a lead, or 'Las Vegas' sound. The heavyweight blank is extremely efficient; the added mass creates enriched slotting and core of sound. Standard weight is a nice balance of both.
