Description: Maker and age: On the reverse of this lovely hand painted cabinet plate is the green decorator's mark of Old Abbey Latrille Frères. The mark was in use from 1908 until the company went out of business, and confirms that the Latrille factory decorated the plate. A green Latrille white ware mark also appears; it was in use throughout the company's history. Latrille Frères produced high quality porcelain wares for the brief period between 1899 and 1913 in an old abbey in Limoges, producing goods that were decorated by Latrille as well as sold to other decorators. Design: This beautiful and highly decorative plate features finely painted pink flowers against a background of thin, translucent porcelain. It's richly trimmed in gold. Size: It's 8 7/8 inches wide and weighs 13.2 ounces. Condition: It's in excellent condition, especially considering its age and fragile material. There are no marks, nicks, chips, cracks, scratches, stains, discoloration, repairs, crazing, utensil marks or wear.
