Description: Presented is a large and heavy, sterling silver centerpiece dish or serving bowl made by the Watson Company of Attleboro, Massachusetts. The dish is done in a rounded, rectangular form and is raised on four threaded, scroll form feet. The corners of the flared rim are decorated with raised, detailed fruits and vines. The whole piece has a slight hand hammered finish. I believe that this pattern was part of a higher quality line of sterling that went under the name of Watsoncraft. The underside is marked with the Watson Company hallmark and sterling. Probably made circa 1900 to 1930. This piece is in fabulous overall condition and the designs are crisp. There are no dents, no breaks, no splits, no monograms, no monogram removals and no repairs. The dish measures 14 3/4 by 10 inches, is 4 3/8 inches tall and weighs 1,160 grams or 40.9 ounces.
