Description: Up for a sale is a large Meissen cobalt blue amphora vase , made by Meissen in the mid 20th century . A very stunning design with the gilded handles on either side! It is hard to find the cobalt blue ground version like this with the gilding , in such a perfect condition! The vase is in pristine condition all around, with no chips, cracks or scratches. The gold accents are shiny and intact. The vase has a large hand painted floral arrangement on white ground in the front surrounded by fancy gilding . The main body of the vase has rich dark cobalt blue color . It has a gilded foot and mid section . The piece comes in two pieces that are connected with a screw . The vase is marked on the bottom with first quality under glaze blue crossed swords along with impressed numbers. Dimensions: 12.5”” tall - tallest version!! ( I listed two other Meissen vase in same style but little bit shorter) 6.5” at the widest point 5.5” opening The vase have protecting rubber pieces on the bottom to prevent sliding, scratches.
