Description: Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE Gemmy Fluorescent Amozonite in the most desirable color! Donated to the Franklin Mineral Museum by none other than the curator of the Franklin Mineral Museum himself, Dr. Earl Verbeek, this beautiful, colorful rock comes from Australia. The Amazonite is a STUNNING Gemmy Emerald-Green (“traffic light green”) color and there is lots of it on this rock! And it fluoresces a nice blue-white under SHORTWAVE UV! The specific location is the Kintore Open cut, Broken Hill, New South Wales, Australia. The piece weighs almost one pound! It is 15.0 ounces (428 g) and measures 3.50 inches (8.7 cm) X 2.25 inches (5.6 cm) X 2.00 inches (5.0 cm). Typical Blacklight UV lights will not display any color. Also, the intensity of the color will vary depending on the strength of the lamp you have. For a good quality lamp at a reasonable price, I suggest you consider the lamps offered by Engenious Designs. This manufacturer sells these quality lamps directly to you (and they are not related to me in any way, and I do not sell these lamps.) I have set the shipping as Ground Advantage Mail. If you plan on bidding on MORE than one rock, let me know BEFORE you pay your invoice, so I may combine shipping to save you money. I can often combine five or six rocks in one package for maximum postage savings. If you are the successful bidder, please leave positive feedback. It is much appreciated. If you have any questions, please ask.
