Description: A large cabinet specimen of fluorescent hardystonite with calcite, franklinite and willemite from Franklin, NJ. The hardystonite is fluorescent purple, the calcite is red and the willemite is fluorescent green under shortwave UV light. The black franklinite is non-fluorescent. Photo # 9 is under longwave, the rest are shortwave. Size: 5" x 4" x 3". Weight is 4 lbs. or 1840 grams. You must have a 254nm shortwave UV lamp to properly view the fluorescent response of this specimen. I always combine shipping whenever possible.I us a 70-watt Engenious Designs Nightstick for all my UV photos. A flashlight will not give the same response. I ship by 2-day or 3-day USPS Priority Mail. I carefully pad and pack each item securely in a cardboard mailing box. I do not supply a gift box or gift wrapping.
