Description: A large calcite matrix hosts an obvious vein of purple fluorescent fluorite along with some green fluorescent willemite. A true oddball, I wasn't 100% sure this was from Franklin until I found a few tiny franklinite crystals. This is a combination of minerals that you won't see anywhere. The calcite is fluorescent red under shortwave. There is one longwave photo, # 6, and you can just make out the fluorite vein. It's not common for fluorite to fluoresce better under shortwave than longwave. Size: 5" x 3-1/2" x 1-3/4". Weight is 2 lbs. or 900 grams. You must have a 254nm shortwave UV lamp or a 365nm longwave UV lamp to properly view the fluorescent response of this specimen. I always combine shipping whenever possible.
