This is SOLID SILVER, not plated - this piece contains 83.3% pure silver and scratches less than standard sterling silver which is 92.5% pure silver. This piece is in beautiful condition with no brakes repairs dents scratches or gouges. This basket only shows minimal signs of wear which is expected due to its age.
