Description: Up for sale is a 19th century verge fusee quarter repeater pocketwatch project with large silver case. The watch is about 59mm in diameter. I believe it is French. This watch is in need of restoration. It is not working now because the oil has solidified. The dust cover is missing, but the ring that it mounts to is still there. It does not appear that anything is missing or is broken in the strike train. When you depress the plunger the entire strike train revolves because the ratchet mechanism doesn't release because it is stuck with hardened oil. The verge balance is good. There are several defects to the porcelain dial. The silver case is in pretty good condition. The glass bullseye crystal is in good condition. I am selling this restoration project watch AS-IS.
