The LG22 offers incredible value and is the perfect instrument for Blues, Rock, Hawaiian, Country, Bluegrass, and Western Swing. Unlike a typical guitar, the strings of a lap steel are not pressed to a fret when sounding a note - rather, the player holds a metal slide called tone bar (optional - please check our listings) in one hand, which is moved along the strings to change the instrument's pitch while the other hand plucks or picks the strings. The SX LG22 lap steel guitar features solid neck through body construction. The American Louisiana Swamp Ash body looks superb. Swamp Ash is a lightweight and highly desirable tonewood prized for its enhanced resonance and tonal richness. A new P90 'soap bar' pickup is included to amplify these tones. The fully adjustable bridge will be adjusted to ensure that the overall string height and individual string intonation are correct. The 3/8" string spacing makes this lap steel guitar very easy and enjoyable to play. Lap Steel Stand Your brand new SX LG22N also includes an integrated three legged stand. Each leg is height adjustable and screws into brackets mounted in the back of the instrument. The included heavy duty padded gig bag has a two compartments - one for the Lap Steel guitar and the other to house the stands.
