Paper labels on spines are chipped along the edges with the "C" in Conversations missing on both. Rub throughs on fore-edge corner tips as well as several places along the board edges. External page edges are untrimmed, age-darkened and soiled. Both volumes has front- and back-free endpapers, which are soiled, stained and have a bit of foxing. Both volumes have half-title pages followed by title pages. Vol I has preliminary pages including the Dedication, Preface and Contents, numbered up to xvi and text pages to 362. Text is followed by three pages of Additional Notes, a page of Errata, and 16 pages of ads. Vol. II preliminary pages are numbered up to xiv and text pages to 399. Text pages are clear with occasional smudges and very little foxing. Text blocks are sound. Please use close-up options for best inspection and in support of condition description.
