Description: I just listed a copy of Kim Fowley's 1968 album "OUTRAGEOUS" and sort of wrote my dissertation on him there. This album shifts styles yet again to a proto-punk or pub-rock thing, He always seems to have been right on top of trends and worked his way into all kinds of scenes--that's him introducing John and Yoko on "Live Peace," upstaging Herbie Mann on a live track of "Push Push," produced everybody from Soft Machine to the Runaways, and produced and wrote and sang a stack of really well-recorded albums in the 60's and 70's. In a way he really knew what he was doing, but in another way he was perpetually looking for a validation he never got. The musical references here would be Capt Beefheart, Suzie Quatro, and Alice Cooper...as seen through the prism of LA. There's something about this guy I just enjoy. 1972 first pressing, custom inner sleeve w/lyrics, green labels, a remainder punchout. Condition is: NM (Side A), NM- (Side B), sleeve VG+.
