Description: This is a custom decorated kitbash. It is a Kato Heavy Mikado shell and tender on a Kato 4-6-2 chassis (model #2007). The 2007 chassis is used in Kato's models for the Japanese market. Cosmetics:Crack in the cab roof (see pictures)Kato Mikado detail kit has been installed. Whistle is a stub. Bell and pop valves are intact. Missing tender ladder.The decoration is custom. The lettering is very good overall. The red paint is a little heavy in places. It has been Dullcoted; some of the dullcote is wearing off the tender.Sale includes a Kato jewel case with foam inserts but no label.Functional Knuckle Couplers on front and rear. Operation:Analog DC wired.Good electrical pickup from both tender trucks and the boiler.Headlight does not light.The boiler is missing one traction tire.IMPORTANT: One driver, the one with the missing traction tire, is slightly out of round. This gives the locomotive a pronounced wobble.Also important: Do not tighten the base plate aggressively because it will bind the gears. Back off the rearward screw a turn for best operation.
