Description: KATHE KRUSE Germany DOLL "SUZI" 5" Dollhouse Doll 2004 UFDC Kansas City ltd ed Sweet little girl doll is "SUZI". She was exclusively made in a limited edition of 1550 pieces for the 2004 "United Federation of Doll Clubs" Annual National Convention in Kansas City, MO. Doll was handcrafted in the Kathe Kruse workshops in Germany. "SUZI" has a cloth body a wire armature with a rigid head (papier mache?). Her head is painted with the distinctive sweet serene features of Kathe Kruse dolls. She wears a red outfit. A gold foil paper tag is attached to her left hand identifying her as a Kathe Kruse doll. Suzi is a recreation of Kathe Kruse dollhouse dolls which were produced only a few years prior to 1920. This reissue has been produced with the same method used over eighty years ago. Doll comes with a red checked dress and a navy blue coat. The box she comes in unfolds to suggest a simplified dollhouse with a pillow mattress bed and compartments that house the two additional outfits. Doll is over 5" tall. From a collectors estate this doll was well cared for and does not appear to have been played with, she is clean with no fading, marks, or smokey odors.
