Description: A rare woodblock print by Japanese artist Kaoru Kawano (1916-1965) circa 1950's titled "Girl with Dove" during the Shōwa period (昭和時代, Shōwa jidai, potentially "period of enlightened peace/harmony" or "period of radiant Japan"). Print is loose and wrapped on foam board and with black matting. Print has small punctures on each corner and a small rip to the upper left corner. Measures approximately 11” x 16.5” tall. Note: speckling can be seen on print when looking up close, see photos for more details. I am unsure of the cause.
