This beautiful hat was created by Universal Studios' ART/PROP DEPT. and was screen used during the Pterosaur/Pteranodon aviary escape park chase scene sequence (Time Stamp 01:21:06). Since the acting extra was at the tail end of this running crowd scene this hat was barely used and was one of the few hats at the studio prop auction that still looked very collectible and wearable to me. Most of the other prop clothing for auction was either torn or bloodied by Make-up and Special Effects artists...so you really could not wear those in public. This was the "ONLY" hat of this type available for sale...the others from the ACU lot (Asset Containment Unit) were filthy and mangled. This was also one of the few hats that was fully embroidered and not just adorned with a patch. I only displayed this hat in my collection and never wore it. But if you want to wear it...you can. Unlike most other plain JURASSIC PARK clothing props you see for sale on this site...this prop actually has a clearly marked desirable franchise logo on it so no one has to wonder millions and millions of years from now what movie it is from...plus it comes in a versatile adjustable size many collectors can actually wear...making for a much better investment and easier selling experience if you decide later to flip it for profit...which at this low selling price you can easily do. The hat was part of a larger lot of items for sale that I had originally purchased together.
