Description: Vintage Johnson/Evinrude Freshwater 4hp standard gearcase. This is a short shaft, or 15" model and part # 385550 superceding to 389038. This was used on models built from 1973 thru 1980. These year motors were also offered in a weedless gearcase model, this one is standard, I am not aware that they are interchangeable. Please verify application before purchase. Impeller should be inspected before installation, gear oil has been drained, no water or metal found. I have included a parts diagram with part #'s for illustration purposes only.
