The nine meditation mixes will be released on a limited edition 3-LP set and digitally on October 11th, in honor of John and Sean's shared birthday (October 9th). The vinyl version will be pressed on 180g clear vinyl and come in a three-panel mirror-finished jacket. Side B of LP3 features nine 1.8-second mantras that are played repeatedly on the record's feed groove, creating an infinite loop. ● To create Mind Games: Meditation Mix, various sound design techniques and processes were applied to the 1973 12-inch multitrack recording, with producer Sean Lennon -- son of John Lennon and Yoko Ono -- adding instruments and enhancing the sound in some mixes. Mixed and engineered by Sam Gannon, and additional recordings engineered by Scott Hollingsworth. ● Mind Games: Meditation Mix is firmly rooted in John Lennon's original recording of the original song, and delivers its own space without losing sight of it. Each of the nine mixes is radically altered, slowed down and stretched from five minutes up to 33 minutes, allowing the listener to immerse themselves in the musical soundtrack and experience a relaxing, immersive, and deep listening and meditation experience. Four of the tracks are available in binaural versions, each focusing on a different type of brainwave: beta, delta, gamma, and theta. Sean Lennon's comment: "Meditation may be the ultimate mind game.
