From "Birds of Great Britain" published in London between 1862 & 1873 (it took 11 years to complete the set) in which there were 367 hand colored lithographs each of a different bird species. There were 397 original subscribers who paid Gould in advance to own a copy of the complete work. A total of 500 copies were produced.
