Description: Jim Courier's Custom Pro Stock Racquet (copy of the Wilson Pro Staff Midsize St. Vincent) This racquet belonged to and was used by Jim Courier, former world No. 1 and 4-time grand slam champion. It is an ultra rare pro stock racquet, which is a custom copy of his beloved Wilson Pro Staff Midsize. He used this racquet model between 1997 and 1999, as he tried to switch away from using Wilson racquets. It was custom built to Jim's exact specifications by his preferred stringing and customizing outfit, Jay's Custom Stringing (JCS) of New York. It features his preferred Balmforth Fairway leather grip, Tourna Grip overgrip, custom Gosen strings, custom molded handle shape/size, and modified Wilson butt cap with the "W" removed (stamped serial number at the bottom). I have included photos of Jim using this unique racquet model, featuring a glossy black paint job (unlike the matte black St. Vincent's he used leading up to his retirement). Please also note the unique bumper guard, which is uni-directional and unlike any Wilson racquet. Remnants of clay can be seen in and around the bumper, as well as signs of heavy use from match play.
