Description: My friend gave this to me. These slicers aren't for everyone because they definitely do need a good cleaning after use. If you rinse it in hot water with your kitchen sprayer after each use, it should be a breeze to keep clean, as everything is a nice hard plastic. I myself didn't use it but played around with it to see how it actually works. You definitely have to read the directions to know exactly how to operate it unless you have seen it demonstrated on TV. Kids would really get a kick out of watching you slice vegetables at different thicknesses. They, I think would be strong enough to push the handle as long as you hold it steady. Happy chopping .
