Description: This is a professionally refurbished JBL W12GTI-MKii subwoofer. It's in excellent condition after I rebuilt it. I had to install a brand new, custom made voice coil. The cone, dust cover, motor, spider, and frame are all in excellent condition. The original voice coil was damaged. The other parts of the subwoofer were all in excellent condition. After refurbishing, the subwoofer was tested and confirmed to be working well. Both voice coils measure at around 6 ohms, just like the original voice coil. The only thing to mention is that the sound output has a tiny bit of scratchiness resulting from the new voice coil not being 100% cylindrical. Which is because the fiberglass used to make the voice coil is a flexible sheet, and naturally wants to be flat, not rolled up. The scratchiness isn't noticeable unless you listen to the subwoofer by itself with it directly in front of you. If it were in your trunk, or behind a piece of furniture, or accompanied by tweeters and midranges, you would not notice. That makes this subwoofer ideal for use in a car audio setup, or in a home theater setup. It may not be ideal for a critical listening stereo setup. Any questions, please feel free to contact me. Finally, since the voice coil was custom made, I will provide a 6 month warranty on the voice coil. If it goes bad within 6 months I will replace it free of charge (not including shipping and return shipping charges). If that happened, I'd need you to ship it back to me and I would replace the voice coil with a new one. I DO NOT expect the voice coil to have any problems at all. I have made hundreds of them and I am both experienced and confident in voice coil construction.
