Description: A late WW11 Japanese Shin Gunto leather covered wood scabbard with a scarce leather Foul Weather Cover and Shin Gunto hilt.The scabbard is in very good condition with the original brass suspension ring and leather lacing. The scarce Foul Weather cover shows wear from use and age. There is a small seam opening and the edges at the entry are tattered.The silk cord wrap, ( Tsuka Ito ) is broken and the chrysanthemum Menuki are missing.
