Description: For it's 20th Anniversary this year, Staple is working with artist James Jean for a limited-edition sculpture releasing on March 4th, 2017. James Jean reimagines Staple's iconic pigeon motif as a dramatically posed protagonist pierced with arrows. The figure is named after General Washizu from Akira Kurosawa's "Throne of Blood", which concludes with Washizu facing a beautifully choreographed barrage of arrows. Jean's winged figure is an embodiment of persistence over adversity, a memory of the slings and arrows anyone is likely to face over the course of 20 years. We have designed a premium bespoke box for this exclusive item. Blind embossing is used on selected graphics, complimenting James Jean's original artwork that is printed beautifully on the thick cover. High quality foam safely protects the art piece inside. Standing tall at 9.8" X 12" X 13", this premium collectible is produced in highly detailed PVC, each individually hand painted to achieve a beautiful weathering effect. The figurine comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by James Jean. As part of the collectible set, you should expect a custom enamel pin designed by James Jean, as a companion to the art piece. A proof of provenance comes in the form of a letter-pressed Certificate of Authenticity, signed and editioned by the artist himself. Brand new in original box. Original Edition 139 of 450.
