Description: This is an EXCELLENT First Edition of James and the Giant Peach by Roald Dahl with illustrations by Nancy Ekholm Burkert. I believe it is considered a second printing. As a former classroom teacher, this was a title that I read aloud to my 3rd grade students every year! (I still have my own copy.) Published in 1961 by Knopf, this has an UNCLIPPED dust jacket. Found on an upper shelf, it doesn't look like this book was read much if at all. Both the book and dust cover show minimal to no signs of wear. There is no writing, dogears or tears, except for an inscription on the inside cover, as shown in the last photo. Binding is tight. Illustrations are fantastic!
