The pages of the text are attached to each other and to the cover by a metal spiral binding. This sturdy arrangement allows the book to lie flat while open to any page. It has 246 numbered pages followed by a lengthy Index. The book is arranged in alphabetical order and covers hints on an amazing array of topics. Many of the solutions are still perfect for today and others are a bit outdated. Also it promotes many of the Watkins' products as solutions to the various problems. Lots of the hints relate to food and food preparation. For the most part this book is in good sturdy used condition with wear and fading to the cover. At the back it has suffered some damage from moisture causing some ripples to the lower back cover and some light stains to the lower portion of some of the pages at the back not affecting their usefulness in any way. A great book for your collection and also very useful.
