Irma Thomas - Wish Someone Would Care

Description: Up for sale in this listing is this wonderful LP collection, gathering 12 classic tracks by the legendary Soul Queen of New Orleans, Irma Thomas. The collection includes such Irma Thomas favorites as, “ Wish Someone Would Care,” “I Need Your Love So Bad,” “Sufferin’ with the Blues,” “Straight from the Heart,” “Break-A-Way,” and of course, “Time Is on My Side.” The album was signed for me, in my presence, by Ms. Thomas, either before or after a gig, roughly 25 years ago. Please note, I don’t consider my self qualified to grade the condition of the record, nor do I presently own a turntable with which to listen/appraise it. I’ve included a couple photos showing the face of each side and hope that provides a good idea of the condition to any interested collectors. I might have detected a small scratch on the first side and have taken a close up so you can assess for yourselves. As far as the cover/sleeve are concerned, the condition is clearly not mint, and it shows its age. There is some age-related wear (see photos) , a little age-related discoloration (see photos), a little bit of handwriting on the back cover and sleeve (see photos), and some slight tearing at points along the seam of the sleeve (again, see photos). Nevertheless the album cover still presents very nicely, especially considering its age, and the signature/inscription is lovely and bold, written with a silver marker.
