Dr. Jackson serves as executive director for American heritage and culture society, a nonprofit organization that serves as a Clearinghouse to provide research services on issues and topics relevant to the African experience in America. She has worked as a historian for the United States department of interior, national register of historic places where she co-edited a book entitled African American historic places in the national register.
