I believe the controller would have been attached to a controlling computer to process the software, but if I had to guess (without being able to find anything at all on this part number) I would say this is probably the CPU board of the controller itself. Looks like it has some memory and one of the installed chips has a heatsink on it, so that might be a processor. I assume if you have made it here to look at this you probably know exactly what this is and whether you need it or not. What you see is what you get. The board itself is marked A1668-1110, but I am thinking that might be the board number rather than the completed plug-in.
