Description: This is a phenomenal antique print depicts the 1890 Census Taking at the Standing Rock Indian Reservation. This shows the Lakota people in North and South Dakota. Incredible detail! The print is single-sided (blank back) with wonderful tones and hues. It is a photogravure print from a high quality portfolio book published in the1890s. The Standing Rock Indian Reservation is a Lakota Indian reservation in North Dakota and South Dakota in the United States. It is the sixth-largest reservation in land area in the United States and comprises all of Sioux County, North Dakota, and all of Corson County, South Dakota, plus extremely small slivers of northern Dewey County and Ziebach County in South Dakota, along their northern county lines at South Dakota State Highway 20. The largest communities on the reservation are Cannon Ball, North Dakota and McLaughlin, South Dakota. The page is in excellent condition. The paper is thick and holds the colors and details well. The page is approx. 7.75 x 9.75 inches and the actual image size (without margins) is approx. 5.25 x 6.75 inches. The portfolio was originally bound with a ribbon, so there are three holes in the left side margin, that could easily be trimmed. Powered by SixBit's eCommerce Solution
