This is wonderful for the horse that does not care for the bit, and even for the horse that is bitted as a nice break from it once in a while. I have found that by using this bosal my horses have become much more relaxed and also lighter in their responses. I chose the base rope in a 3/8' slick stiffer rope because it gave me a better release when the reins were not engaged. I did not care for the softer rope of my first design because I feel that it does not release as well for me. I hand braid each noseband with 550 paracord.
