Icarex fabric is made of Polyester with more lower weight (about 35 grams / 1.23oz per Square Meter), high strength and low stretch as advantages. On top of that, Icarex is water repellent (also a positive side of polyester) and very good airtight. Tear Resistant ! The double yarn reinforcement that is woven into the fabric every 10mm (0.039inch), both in the warp- and fill direction, ensures the highest tear strength for its light weight. The reinforcements are in squares, adoped special reinforcing technique, so that the fabric is symmetrical, giving designers more freedom in material use. The big square reinforcement lines are the trademark for Icarex and stand for the highest quality fabric available in the sport kite market to date.
