Description: This early 90s Ibanez Universe UV77MC 7-string guitar (serial #918702) is a collector’s gem, showcasing the iconic multicolor swirl finish. I am the original owner, having purchased this guitar new from Rolls Music in Falls Church, Virginia. It was signed by Steve Vai himself from the stage at The Bayou in Washington DC on December 22, 1996, during the concert’s final song. The unforgettable lineup that night featured Philip Bynoe on bass, Mike Mangini on drums, and Mike Keneally on guitar/keys. This UV77MC model, equipped with DiMarzio Blaze pickups and a Lo-Pro Edge 7 tremolo, has some cosmetic wear with paint knocked off in a few spots, adding to its character. To preserve Vai’s signature, I applied a clear coat—something I thought would be practical at the time! The guitar comes with its original hard case, though the combination lock isn’t currently working (it should be an easy fix). I’m also including the original User Guide from Steve Vai, which adds a special piece of memorabilia to this rare package (see pics). Serious offers considered. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to own an instrument that’s been part of a legendary moment.
