Description: A scarce porcelain figurine of an English Setter dog carrying an exotic bird by Hutschenreuther, Germany, with company hallmark under the left front foot. Although I have seriously collected the most desirable dog figurines for almost 50 years, I have never owned this piece before. It comes from a beautifully curated English Setter collection, of which we will be offering some fine pieces. Of course serious Setter collectors will know that this dog figurine is occasionally available without the bird. The rarity of this one is the addition of the bird. The figurine is without flaw and measures 6 1/2" tall by 9" long. Examined under black light and lighted magnification. No chips, cracks, repairs or restorations.
