This design captures stray wire strandsand permits more clamping pressure on the wire withoutdamaging it. Loosening of terminations and resulting heat build-upare greatly reduced. *No “lazy” connections because a spring-loaded safety shutterautomatically ejects the plug if it hasn’t been properly locked intothe female device. This eliminates teasing of the contacts, a majorcause of contact burn-up. *Arcs are snuffed out, when devices are mated or unmated underload, by spring-loaded safety shutter. *Longer contact life is assured by supplementary springs.
