The disc machine is very good at removing/minimizing light scratches and usually makes the disc look and function better. Cartridge based video games are taken apart to verify authenticity and to clean the pins unless screws are covered by a label. The item condition is sometimes much better than the selected condition for discs and cartridges. For example, a video game that is disc/cartridge only will be listed as "Acceptable" even if the disc or cartridge is in "Very Good" or "Good" condition because the case and/or manual are not included.
