As it had fallen between brambles and weeds nobody noticed it... but something extra-ordinary began to happen: around it blossomed wonderful flowers with a heady scent.Little by little, in all the people who passed in the area, as if they were enchanted by an arcane magic, began to shine a mysterious, special light that made them more beautiful both physically and spiritually. No one could explain the strange phenomenon that, however, was a real prodigy. An old sage solved the riddle. One day, walking, near the statue, smelling the scent of flowers, he was irresistibly drawn to it. It was then that among the colorful corollas, he saw the ancient heirloom. Attracted by the invisible aura that it emanated, he approached it and freed it ftom the flowers. Fascinated by so much beauty, the man remained motionless in his contemplation for some, interminable minutes.When he was a little recovered he realized that on the base of the statue the letters "enu" were still identifiable. So he understood that that ill-reduced simulacrum represented Venus and that it had been sent by the Goddess on the world to return to men the lost beauty.Then the old man decided to reveal to the rest of the community the priceless gift received from the ancient deity. THE PHANTASMAGORIAS Phantasmagorias are micro-cosmos in which ancient fairy tales and future legends thicken and intertwine, personal dreams and collective nightmares, atavistic memories and ancestral instincts, desires without a time and hopes without place.
