Hollyland Solidcom C1 HUB8S Full-Duplex Wireless Intercom 8 Headset System

Description: This is the Hollyland Solidcom C1-HUB8S version of the Solidcom system with a Hub and 8 remote headsets. This is NOT the cheaper version with one master a 7 remote headset - this version is used on film sets. I know because I work in the film industry. I would say it's in "like new" condition because it's barely used but eBay doesn't like that phrase so you be the judge. The headsets were worn for less than 4 hours but the technical aspects with the system turned on and transmitting was extensively tested. None of those tests involved doing anything tot he units, it was all related to analyzing the wireless capabilities of the system. Overall, the system was on for around 10-12 hours maximum and found to be in excellent shape. Will this system work for you? Here's what you should consider... it operates in the unlicensed 1.9 GHz frequency range which means it will not encounter interference from the congested 2.4 GHz spectrum that Bluetooth, WiFi and even microwave ovens work in. It also doesn't operate in the 470-608 MHz UHF band that professional wireless microphones operate in. Instead, the unlicensed band it operates in doesn't require an FCC license to use but runs into almost no competition in the wireless spectrum it operates in and in my testing it transmitted quite well thru multiple walls and obstacles with the Hub on a table but if you raise the antenna high overhead, you'll have even better range. I encountered no dropouts within 200 feet of the Hub regardless of whether I was above or below the level of the Hub. The headsets were found to be light, balanced and comfy for over 2 hours of use and although I didn't run the batteries completely out (I didn't do an endurance test) the batteries charge far quicker than they discharge. The sound quality is very good and I had no issues hearing the headset in a noisy environment. The mic flips up to mute and is operational when brought down to the mouth which I like better than systems with buttons because you can do this quickly even with thick gloves on as opposed to having to find a button. Why am I selling? My department (in the film industry) doesn't have the opportunity to rent these systems to Production and my efforts to sell to someone that does has fallen flat due to the industry still in recovery from the strikes last year.
