Description: This listing is for one (1) autographed baseball, signed by Reggie Jackson, "Mr. October." Gold-base cube included. The ball was obtained from the son of a co-worker of mine back in 1987. The man lived in LA and was a part of the "Hollywood/LA crowd", being friends with Jackson during his days with the California Angels (1982 to 1986). Jackson signed the ball for him after hitting his 500th home run in September 1984. This is not the #500 home run ball, just one signed to commemorate the milestone. This is an official Rawlings Bobby Brown ball (Brown was President of the AL from 1984 to 1994). Balls were manufactured in Haiti at the time, as shown on the one panel. The ball does have some yellowing. This would be an excellent addition to the collection of a California (Los Angeles) Angels and/or Baseball HOFer fan.
