Description: Hobbs or Aetna Glass Gonterman Swirl ~ Bowl ~ Satin Finish This beautiful example of the Gonterman Swirl process (patented Aug 5, 1876) was made by Hobbs Brockunier or Aetna Glass in the 1880's. It has a deep amber crimped edge that is added not stained. The clear, swirled lower portion was given a satin finish in an acid bath. The bowl is 7 1/2" in diameter and 2 3/4" high. It has one chip and a crack on the edge. It is otherwise in excellent condition with no further damage. Please check the photos carefully. I try to include a photo from each side, all the way around, top and bottom so nothing is hidden from your view. If there is a view or closeup you would like to see please ask and I will try to provide it. All sales are final, no returns, so be sure to ask any questions before you bid/buy. I try to answer all emails daily. I only accept Paypal payment and will only ship to a verified Paypal address. I am listing more glass, china and figurines so please check out my other items! Where possible I am happy to combine items to save on shipping. Let me know before you pay and I will send an updated invoice.
