Description: 1974's The Skyhawk is one of the last pictures to feature the legendary Kwan Tak Hing as Master Wong Fei Hung, a role he played in over 100 films. Joining Kwan for the first time is Sammo Hung as a student of the master; his similar performance in The Magnificent Butcher (1980) would skyrocket Sammo to superstardom. The Skyhawk, however, is unmistakably Kwan's show. The master was beginning to show his age by this point, and leaves most of the martial arts displays to Hung and Carter Wong (Hapkido, Big Trouble in Little China). But even if he can't kick quite like he used to, Kwan still exudes all of the style and charisma that made his name inseparable from the character of Wong Fei Hung. Master Wong and his disciple Fatty are paying a visit to Thailand when they are assaulted by a hotheaded street fighter dubbed "Little Lion" (Carter Wong). In true Wong Fei Hung fashion, the master takes Lion under his wing after the impetuous youth gets his clock cleaned by a rival martial arts instructor. Meanwhile, Wong's friend Chu is facing trouble from the local crime boss, who's trying to seize control of Bangkok's lucrative shipping business. Wong urges his friends and students to seek a peaceful resolution to their problems, but when the bad guys attack Fatty's sister (Nora Miao, Fist of Fury, The Blade Spares None), the master agrees to take up arms.
