Description: Design of HK-308, the Missouri Dollar, SH 13-12. This is one of the White Metal cast examples mentioned in Jeff Shevlin's text on So Called Dollars, and "gold plated", presumably to appear as one of the very scarce Gold Plated Bronze types known. Shevlin does not indicate a presumed origin for these, however one must assume that they are more contemporary that as dated. Approx. 37-1/4mm in diameter, weighing just under 25 grams, with a clear casting seam around the middle and tapered rims. The slightly rough-looking surface is also a sure give away. By definition NGC and PCGS will not certify this as Genuine. In buying this you acknowledge your understanding that this is not a "genuine" So Called Dollar and should be accepted only as a study and learning tool to advance your knowledge of the potential for such "fakery". If there are any questions or confusion about this, I suggest NOT making a purchase. 0324-14 Please Note: We require payment within four days of purchase, unless you contact us for other arrangements in advance of purchase. Items not paid for within 4 days will have an automatic unpaid item case opened - please do not make a purchase unless you intend to honor your commitment. If you have any questions, please email. Please note our hours below and if needed contact us at least 24 hours before close of listing.
