The son of the renowned sculptor Jean-Baptiste Moreau, he studied in Paris under François Jouffroy. From 1863 to 1914 the artist regularly exhibited at the Paris Salon. He won awards for his sculpture at the Universal Expositions in 1878 and 1900. Our client has this item for sale in their New York gallery.
