HH Scott Bostonian One Speakers & Kenwood KA-2002 Amplifier

Description: HH Scott was one of the premier American hi-fi-brands in the 1960‘s and 1970‘s, best known for tuners, amplifiers and receivers. Their lesser known "S" series speakers were well made products that consistently received great reviews and praise for good value. Like so many classic companies Scott would falter in the 1980‘s but before they became a made in Japan brand, they still managed to make some excellent speakers in the USA. This listing is for a beautiful pair of made in USA Scott Audiophile Series Bostonian One. A very nice small two-way with good low end from its 6.5“ woofers and great detail from the wide dispersion Phillips tweeters. Solid construction. 14“ x 7“ x 8“ Quality 5 way binding post speaker terminals. The sound is roughly comparable to the Acoustic Research AR-8B but the Scott is better built and certainly more attractive.These can be considered as little-known compact speaker "gems".We pair these speakers with a lovely 13 wpc compact amplifier from Kenwood. Kenwood made numerous wonderful integrated amplifiers from 1967-1980. It is hard to find better small amplifiers, past or present. The KA-2002 is an audiophile favorite .Compact in size ( 13" x 14.5" x 9.5") it combines excellent build quality with an attractive and clasically minimalist cosmetic design. This amp has received an extraordinary number of great reviwes on-line, with owners consistently preferring it to popular mid-sized competitors that cost considerably more.
