Small Quarto. Dark mustard-color cloth-covered, beveled boards. Front boards divided into three panels, each triple-ruled in black. The upper and lower panels feature an elaborate, roccoco-style, floriated design of interwoven, flowering vines. The central panelfeatures the title and author's name, in gilt. The spine repeats this, though in different proportion. (See photos). Decorated endpapers with light brown "veinous" pattern. Previous owner's handwritten dedication: "Fay Daniel Dec. 19, 1889. "Labor Always Bring Reward" (signed) Joe A. Kirk". Minor rubbing to extremities. All edges gilt. Very Good.
