Born during a blizzard on Groundhog Day in Chicago, Illinois, Stephanie Graegin spent her childhood drawing and collecting fauna in Fort Wayne, Indiana and Houston, Texas. She later attended Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York, obtaining a Master of Fine Arts in Printmaking.
