After being frustrated with the performance of various scanner antennas that I have purchased over the years, I decided to use my years of experience and love for scanners, to create the antenna that I wanted. I first created several concept antennas. I used identical scanners to compare signal strength. This provides much less signal loss and allows for longer coaxial cable runs (if needed) than RG58 cable (used by other antennas.) *see the chart on the right.· The MAXX-TENNA has a connector near the antenna base which allows for easier installation, more flexibility and an option for additional coaxial cable. This allows for optimum positioning and installation.· The MAXX-TENNA has 10-50 feet of cable included with a convertable straight or right angle BNC connector on one end (to attach to your scanner) and a twist-on "F" connector on the other end (that attaches to the antenna.) The twist-on connector is removable which allows for more installation options.
