Description: This offering from Maggies estate/collection is really just one of those pieces and presences that makes your (my) heart beat fast. In fact, the presence here will send chills down your spine, but that is not always a BAD thing. The vessel is a rare and fantastic object and the spirit who "lives" with it brings not only the "activity" that many collectors seek, but also beneficial influence and an uncommon connection to the spirit realm. This also happens to be one of the earliest spirit attached objects that Maggie gathered. I feel a great responsibility here, but at the same time...I am not SHOCKINGLY stressing about it as I feel like I should be!! There is a place, a keeper/charge meant to take over and I know that and it gives me a strange but welcome peace. And...I am excited! The photos do not do justice, nor did I capture any manifestation. Often I do, sometimes I dont. I have to say, this painting/print can be really, really spooky. Intense. The presence of the spirit, is palpable and can be totally creepy one day, and just beautiful and almost ethereal the next. She takes some getting used to, but also...I dont think you ever REALLY get used to her!! This is a serious and important potential procurement for a keeper/collector and especially one who is called to connect to the "other side". Before I share what I know about the haunt, the spirit living with the artwork, a female named Daisy, I want to describe the vessel. This is an antique framed print or MAYBE, a painted reproduction. It is under glass, but I can see texture, like an oil painting would have. I really dont know, and while the market value would be affected by print vs painting, either option has a very good "sticker price". It always feels a little crass to me when I address this, because in realty, this and all authentic spirit vessels ae priceless. I do think it is probably a print. A very old one! ANYWAY...whether print or painted reproduction, this fantastic piece of art is over 100 years old. Early 1900's. The original was a painting created in the 1700's by English painter Joshua Reynolds. It is titled "The Strawberry Girl" and was one in his series of "Lost Children". I did much reading on the artist and this painting. Near the end of this post I share some good information on that, for anyone curious. One of my biggest Blessings from my friend Maggie, in trusting and tasking me with sale/rehoming of her estate is all of the astounding and beautiful knowledge I have gained simply by needing to research. I have learned SO SO much about so many things that I would never likely have pursued. It keeps me curious, my mind active and deepens my connection to Maggie, the spirits and the vessels/objects. Sometimes, I like to share. The piece measures 18 x 14 and the wood frame is 1" thick. The glass is all intact and not cracked or chipped. It is heavy glass, as antique pieces seem to be. There is chipping and peeling to the paint on the frame. The back shows old rusty nails holding the artwork in place and is missing what was probably once a wood back. There is an old rope/string for hanging. It is secure and ready to be hung up again. Now - For those of you not familiar with this sale, my listings...please know -I list in THIS particular category almost exclusively for a good reason. These items have authentic paranormal energy and spirit attachment/presence. Paranormal activity is almost certain in any home within which they reside.Maggies 70+ years of gathering this collection resulted in many, many rare, valuable, collectible items and antiques. My life would be much easier if I could simply list in the more conventional categories. This is a labor of love for me, but it is a labor. If you are a skeptic, I appreciate and understand that and I wish you Blessings. I am more than happy to respond to serious, respectful inquiries, but any snide, nasty messages will be ignored and reported if a line is crossed. Moving on, but one more thing. Again, my photos are "ok" but in person, SO much better!! It is definitely very spooky and it LOOKS as haunted as it IS, but I just love it! This spirit, Daisy and the vessel were with Maggie from the late 1930's. It is among the first spirit attached/haunted objects that Mags gathered and kept. She was still a teenager when she encountered Daisy and "adopted" her. While, to me, Daisy is sort of a sweet and innocent sounding name, do not take that at face value! Daisy is a ghostly ghost, an intelligent and aware and active and INTERactive spirit. She is not all sweetness and light. Daisy is a human soul, and while she has evolved over time, since her transition, there was trauma in her life and death. Maggie wrote, "Daisy's issues come to the surface sometimes." Fair warning here, as I share it later in this post. Daisy's murder was violent. But then...things improve! Read on if you want to know, but it is bad. Mags grew up, in her early life, in rural Iowa. The day she and Daisy came together, Maggie was visiting her Aunt Effie "in the city". I am not sure what city she is referring to. Maggie and her Aunt were very close and Effie played a large role in Maggies education and embrace of her unique bloodline in a family of Wise Women. That day, Effie brought Mags along on an excursion to what Maggie called a maternity home. A facility for unwed mothers. Effie had some connection to a woman who had worked there. When they met this woman, Maggie said she was very distressed. The home had recently shut its doors due to lack of financial support. It was the Depression era. Effie explained to Maggie that her friend was aware of and now worried about "the ghost". A spirit who was known to inhabit the facility, but no one ever openly acknowledged or spoke about. Or, even knew anything about really. Effie set up a séance. It was just the three of them and they chose a room in the house that has been the location of the most overt activity. Of course, you can guess, this artwork hung on a wall in that room. When the séance/rite commenced, and Effie called to the spirit, Maggie very quickly drew the attention of the spirit and experienced what she called "forced channeling". Now. Maggie has described channeling to me many, many times. Each occurrence is of course different and unique to the Medium but there seems to be some commonalities. Since I, personally, have never and likely never will...channel a spirit/ghost, I can only imagine the experience and I hung on every word of every story Maggie told me. Fascinating and frightening to me! Here is Maggies account of her first encounter with Daisy. She describes it in the journal/log note in excruciating and beautiful detail. I LOVE this note/entry so much. I will keep it with me forever. It is hands down the most descriptive and graphic account of Maggie channeling that I have in writing. I think that is because this spirit is important. It needs to be known by whomever she takes as a charge next. "I am laying on a cold wood floor. My body hurts everywhere. I am afraid, but mostly I am furious, filled with rage. I am helpless and I am dying. I sense the next blow coming to my head but I never feel it. I am OUT. Then I die. But I do not die. The pain is gone and now I am looking down at us. At me and him. At the blood and the board in his hands as he continues to beat my body. I try to jump at him, on him but I am not really there. I am floating, light as air. I turn and I float to the girl painting. I am looking down again. I am inside the girl in the painting. My body is in a fetal position on the shiny wood floor. Pulverized and he is not stopping. I hate him. A peace comes over me then and I am just gone from that room. I am surrounded by lights, they look like little moons. I feel safe but anxious. Talking, voices, telling me stories. Too many at once. I do not want to go with them. Then, I am back but not where I was. I am looking down again, a young girl on a bed with a yellow blanket and a tiny baby. I see people around the bed, but not living people. Her family her ancestors. I am supposed to give her a message. I pull away from my warm safe place and I hover over her. She sees me and she receives the message." It was glaringly apparent to Maggie after this that the spirit, Daisy, who's name she KNEW without being told...was living with, attached to the print/painting of the girl. The Strawberry Girl. AND...Maggie KNEW she was meant to have Daisy in her life. Aunt Effie was "so pleased". The woman, the worker was also pleased and greatly relieved. Shew knew....but she didnt know. Jumping forward. Maggie hung the artwork in her bedroom. She did not attempt to "channel" Daisy again and had no plans to do so. One late night/early morning, a few months later, Maggie was awakened, She writes, "...from a dream that was not really a dream. When I worked up the courage to open my eyes, floating above me in my bed was a spirit that I knew to be Daisy. I had not seen her before, she never manifested an apparition until that night. I never saw her face during channeling months before. It was her essence that I recognized. Daisy has red hair and blue eyes. I did not channel her this night, to my relief. Instead, I was shown something like a newsreel that we used to have in the picture shows before the film. I saw into my future. I saw Frank (Maggies husband to be). I saw what I would later understand to be ME in strange placesIt was rapid and overwhelming. However, in the mix of it all, Daisy shared an image of my beloved dog Rabbit running into the road in front of a blue truck. TOMORROW, TOMORROW was all I heard until it was suddenly morning." That next day, Mags said, she stayed home and kept Rabbit (her dog) on a leash. That afternoon there was a rare snowstorm and the roads became Icey. A neighbor in a blue truck lost control of the vehicle in front of Maggies home. He crashed, but was not seruiosly injured. Maggies NEXT spontaneous interaction with Daisy came soon after. That time, she again woke Mags in the early morning hours, but was standing at the end of her bed and holding the hand of a man Maggie knew. He ran a general store in Maggies town. This ghost, the man, did not speak, but Daisy did. In a mans voice..."Tell Bea to look under the feed bin" The short story is that Maggie went to the widow of the shopkeeper and they found a good amount of cash. Maggie had many more instances of Daisy bringing spirits to her to give messages. BUT - in between, Mags said Daisy "would have bouts, periods even of discontent and ill temper. I came to be able to predict/sense these tantrums coming based on interactions. Daisy can be triggered by the presence of spirits OR living people who are guilty of abuse, not even necessarily murder. She WILL punish them and often it is a slow burn, but sometimes, I think she is catapulted into her own history and she just needs to rage. Daisy can be dangerous. That is a fact, but only to the truly guilty. While she is greatly evolved and her purpose is benevolent, this is a traumatized soul. Keep her busy and engaged and the benefits far outweigh the occasional broken lamp or ransacked kitchen, I will not say more." Maggie went to nursing school, she got married, etc. her life went on. Daisy was a constant companion and great help on Maggies path. This is where I fear I will not WELL explain/describe how amazing Daisy's presence and engagement will be to a keeper. This is a helper spirit who can and will not only give information of ones future, but can actually travel between realms to give and bring messages. Her keeper though, will not only be her charge, but this is a spirit with wounds who NEEDS to be cared for and ou can helpo her almost as much as she can help you. Dasiy wants/needs to be called on, engaged, employed .This spirit has a way in, to the spirit realm. She can be called on to contact and bring forth a spirit with messages or unresolved business. I feel that the ideal situation for all involved is one where the paranormal/supernatural universe is fact and not fiction. She is the real deal and needs to be in that environment. Oh my goodness I am sorry if this post is "messy" or unclear in any way. I have been reading/transcribe for days now. I do ten to go down rabbit holes sometimes. Questions welcome!! As are reasonable offers. "Direct sale" transactions come with a discount. The Strawberry Girl It is hard not to be captivated by Joshua Reynolds‘s painting The Strawberry Girl, which hangs in the Wallace Collection at Hertford House in Manchester Square. When it was exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1773, Horace Walpole jotted down in his copy of the catalogue the single word ‘charming’, and we can see what that eminent man of taste meant. The girl stares out at us with childish directness. Isolated against a rocky background, she looks vulnerable.Reynolds produced many paintings of children, but he was particularly fond of this one. He is reported to have said that a lifetime could produce only half a dozen original works. In this shortest of shortlists he would certainly want to include The Strawberry Girl. And yet The Strawberry Girl is more than just an enchanting picture. For behind it there lies a fascinating London story. There is more to be found about this paiting and the artist on line for anyone interested. I have to stop this listing somewhere!!! : xoxox - H. Maggie spent a lifetime accumulating unusual items, items that she believed have active attachments. Items that called to her, or came to her doorstep. She lived in the same little old house in my neighborhood for the last 52 years of her life. In her younger days she was an avid estate sale hunter and auction goer. She actively sought out items that she felt needed a "good home". She also did readings and home visits. She never charged for her services. Many of the items were given to her for safe keeping or as gifts. Spending the day or evening at Maggies house was always filled with mystery and activity, some of it confounding and sometimes, admittedly a little spooky! I met Maggie in the early 1990's while volunteering at local womens center, where Maggie was a devoted volunteer. Getting to know her was life changing experience for me. I came to view the universe in a completely different light. I spent the last 5 years of Maggies life keeping her company and helping out with things around the house pretty much every day. We would spend hours and hours talking about many of the items in her collection and the history....and...the particular spirit attached to them, or what she was trying to figure out about a particularly mysterious item. She said sometimes these spirits communicated right away, others....she had to wait to find out who they were. It was fascinating. She was a brave and wonderful woman. About 2 years before her death, Maggie asked if I would take her beloved collection when she was gone and re home her tenants. Living with this collection has been VERY INTERESTING! It sometimes feels like my whole house is haunted, but I know it is not. It is the spirits "visiting" their beloved belongings. Maggie told me she believed that most of these spirits are not bound to the earth, some are, but most simply like to visit and spend time. A "visit" can last years or only weeks at a time, but they always come back time and again. I am not explaining it as well as Maggie. Each estate item I will list for sale certainly has value in and of itself, but they all come with a "bonus". When someone doesn't believe me, I say - spend one night in my house! And people have...and there are many more non skeptics out there now! Maggie had only one living relative, a grand daughter. This young woman is very sensitive and sweet but being around spirit activity is very frightening to her. She and I have agreed that i will auction off some of this collection and use the proceeds for a private, but benevolent endeavor. I am not a good photographer. Please ask for more photos or information if you like. Ask me any questions. I have copious notes and lists on this collection and will do my best. I am NOT a medium. I am, however, as Maggie put it, very open and sensitive. I have had direct interaction with many, many spirits visiting my home. Most....and in all honesty...not all.....but most...seem to be harmless. Many of the items will come in "spirit" boxes. Maggie stored many many smaller items on bookshelves in these boxes. I am bound by this site say that I am selling only an item. I make no guarantees of any intangible attributes. I will always take returns and offer full refunds if you are not satisfied for any reason with your new addition. I welcome questions and will do my very best to answer, but some of these items have no written history and I can only relate my own experience or what has been told to me. Please be serious and responsible when considering taking one of these very special items into your home. Thank you! What Maggie taught me and what I am now a firm believer in is this. When our physical bodies cease to function, the essence of us, our spirit, our soul, continues on with the journey. In life, as human beings, we become attracted to and attached to our "stuff". We have objects that we covet. It may be an item that holds good memories, or a gift from a loved one. Sometimes we keep even the items that may hold sadness for us. The blanket of a departed child or a belt that was used to hurt us. A departing spirit often becomes attached and/or attracted to an item that was somehow significant in a death. A stolen wallet or piece of jewelry, a cup that held the poison or the hammer that struck the blow. I believe it is more common place than any of us can imagine, how many inanimate objects have the constant or frequent accompaniment of a departed soul that the item was important to. Maggie was certain that more often than not, there is a definite purpose to an attachment. The object may be destined to go to a person who needs the benefits of a certain energy, sometimes many years down the road. Other times, a spirit is lost and seeking comfort and guidance. And quite often...a spirit is simply drawn to a beloved item from a former life because they like it. Maggie believed that most can freely pass between "realms" and are rarely stuck here. That being said, many of the items in Maggies collection are stuck or...choose not to leave for one reason or another. Our sense of time cannot really be related to "their" sense of time. I am required to state that you are bidding on an item. I make no claims of or promises of intangible attributes.
