I will try and list a variety of pieces each week and hopefully you will find items of interest to you.This Fragile World figurine named "Mole & Worm" was carved by David Lawrence in 2004. It was hand painted/finished by local craftsmen in the Cotswold area of England. Fragile World Description:Martin Perry, one of the Co-Founders and Artistic Director of Harmony Kingdom, decided to introduce a new line in 2004. As Harmony Kingdom began to increase the size of their pieces, Martin realized that display cases were filling quickly and there may be a market for smaller marble resin animal figurines.Martin decided to utilize some of the artists that were carving Harmony Kingdom figurines, and have the pieces manufactured at the same Wimberly Mills factory that produced Harmony Kingdom.Due to contractual arrangements with the other HK Co-Founders, Martin decided to make the figurines solid instead of boxes and used a glaze finish. The plan was to make the pieces in edition sizes no greater than 250. However, the line was introduced in a time when collectables were on the decline and production was stopped on many of the pieces, before reaching their planned number.Only 247 of this piece was produced, instead of 250, making it even rarer than planned Free USPS Ground Advantage insured shipping in the US.
